From his humble beginnings at a small Sandy Ground restaurant, restaurateur David Foini continues his quest for excellence with the opening of *Izi* in October 2009, a new Italian eatery in Simpson Bay.
In addition to *La Gondola*, the hugely successful and more upscale establishment at "Atlantis World Gourmet Village":http://www.dinesxm.com/location/atlantis-cupecoy in Cupecoy, fans of Northern-Italian cuisine can now also choose to experience chef Davide's delicious food in a more casual, modern and less exuberant setting. You can relax and *"take it easy!* at IZI.
Yes you read it correctly: chef Davide has been made in charge of the kitchen at the new location... Foremost an Italian Pasta restaurant, Izi is open for lunch and dinner. Pasta lovers select from a matrix-like menu that makes it easy to pair each type of freshly made pasta with a selection of recommended sauces.
Prices are definitely moderate if you consider the fact that you'll be savoring exquisite dishes that are made of the same delicious fresh ingredients, and by the same chef that is widely renown from La Gondola. The pasta portions are large and all priced under $20. Seafood, meats and other choices are also on the menu. There is a good selection of dishes, even for those who don't like pasta. A matching array of wines is available to complement Izi's varied Italian cuisine.
Located at Paradise Mall, opposite to (and we wager in direct competition with) Pineapple Pete restaurant, Izi Pasta Lounge has ample parking right out front. Seating is both indoors and on a small terrace in front of the establishment. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.
